Steper Motor AM3248

Steper Motor AM3248

With its speed and torque, the new AM3248 stepper motor from FAULHABER raises the bar in terms of performance and dimensions.

Offering up to 10,000 rpm, it can achieve five times the speed of comparable stepper motors. Combined with a gearhead reduction of 100:1, it supplies a torque of 5 Nm. The motor delivers these values with a diameter of just 32 mm. This makes it ideally suited for a wide range of applications in areas such as aerospace, laboratory automation, large optical systems, the semiconductor industry, robotics and 3D printing.

Integrated referencing with AEMT

Integrated referencing with AEMT

In combination with brushless DC-servomotors, the new magnetic AEMT-12/16 L absolute encoder delivers absolute angle information with a preset multiturn resolution of 16 bits (65536 revolutions) and a singleturn resolution of 12 bits (4096 steps) for commutation, speed control and motion control.

This position data can be queried by a SSI Interface with BiSS-C Protocol. With a line driver, the interface is designed differentially and is based on the RS422 standard. It is thereby possible to position the motor/encoder unit up to five metres away from the controller.

The BiSS-C protocol is designed for industrial applications in which high transmission speed, flexibility and minimal implementation effort are required. Digital Hall sensors for commutation of the motors are no longer generally needed. With AEMT, sine commutation is possible as is very efficient operation of the motor with minimal torque ripple.

Stepper Motor DM66200H

Stepper Motor DM66200H

With its DM66200H series, FAULHABER is opening up a whole new dimension in performance for motors with internal opening (aperture).

As a direct drive, the new hollow shaft motor operates backlash-free and can be integrated into different applications with very limited effort. It achieves impressive performance values in terms of both speed and torque. Its exceptionally wide aperture has a diameter as large as 40 mm! The drive is characterised by low weight and an extremely slim design. Thanks to minimal wear (bearing only), it is ideal for maintenance-free continuous operation.
